Parent input and involvement is highly valued at MASSA. A variety of studies (Henderson & Berla, 1994) confirm that parent involvement makes an enormous impact on students' attitude, attendance, and academic achievement.
One of the ways in which we encourage parent involvement is through our monthly Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings. Parent voices are extremely important in helping to shape our school. PAC meetings provide a crucial platform for open parent-school communication. Additionally, here at MASSA we realize we wouldn't be the successful school we are today without the dedication and commitment of our valued parents.
Please consider attending our upcoming PAC meetings scheduled as follows:
September 9, 2011
October 7, 2011
November 4, 2011
January 6, 2012
February 10, 2012
March 2, 2012
April 13, 2012
PAC meetings begin with a dinner at 6:00 p.m. Following dinner, the PAC meeting for parents takes place and a movie is provided for students. The meeting adjourns at 7:00 p.m.
