The Math and Science Success Academy (MASSA) is currently enrolling for the 2011-2012 school year.  AMS has high expectations for all students and knows that once you have a chance to visit our school, meet our teachers, and learn about our curriculum, you will know AMS is the right choice for your student.

Other Considerations

Mid-year enrollments require a copy of the withdrawal form from the previous school.

Waiting List / Lottery:

To best serve students at MASSA, a low enrollment cap and limited class sizes must be maintained. For kindergarten, no more than 17 students are enrolled per class and for 1st through 12th grade, no more than 22. If by the application deadline, the number of applications exceeds the capacity of a program, class, grade level, or building, all applications for that program, class, grade level, or building are selected for available slots through a lottery. The lottery is a random selection process by which applicants on the waiting list are admitted to the schools.  For example, if the number of fifth graders who apply before the end of the academic year reaches a point where there are more than 22 students in any given classroom, a lottery shall be initiated for placement. Siblings of students already admitted to, or attending, the same charter school are exempt from the lottery process.

Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. MASSA does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, economic status, geographic location, disabilities, proficiency in the English language, etc. MASSA admission and enrollment practices comply with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

MASSA puts forth every effort to “inform students in the community about the charter school and to give each student an equal opportunity to attend,” (20 U.S.C. 7221b(b)(3)(I)).  The school enrolls all eligible students who submit a timely application, unless the number of applications exceeds the capacity of a program, class, grade level, or building (A.R.S. 15-184).
